Floppy Hat + Fur Vest

The title says it all right? I really wanted to wear my fur vest and my floppy hat so I had to find something to bring them both together. This dress was the perfect item for that. :) I love it because it's really modest and super comfortable. I got so many compliments on it today, and it just goes to show that modest fashion is definitely not frumpy. :)

Today was a great day full of shopping and hanging out with my parents. I also ran some business errands, so stay tuned over at BeeBee Boutique

Bow Back Tee Refashion // Refashioning My Own Refashion :)

This refashion was actually my  first refashion when I first started my blog. I can't believe it's been that long ago. I have learned so much along the way, but I still have a lot to learn. :)
Anyways, I wasn't a big fan of the v-neck on this top. I just don't know why. I decided to replace the front with a pink jersey and added pink neckline binding.

1. I cut out the new front piece for the tee.
2. New front piece. :)
3. I first pinned along the sleeve.
4. Then I pinned along the side and sewed. :)
I did this for both sides.

1. To make room for the new binding, I seam ripped all along the neckline and took that binding off.
2. I measured along the neckline.
3. I used this tutorial for binding. :)
4. I added a little pocket that matched the bow in the back.
5. All done!

"Cupcake Cuteness" Style Diary

I just love tulle skirts! They make me feel so feminine, like a princess. :) I got this cute little cupcake sweater on  Yerdle last summer, and forgot about it during the colder months. I had a chance to wear it today, since it was sort of cold. I paired it with my pink tulle skirt for ultimate cuteness. :)

Proverbs 4:23

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."
Proverbs 4:23

//

In this fallen world we face many temptations, perils, and evils. Because of this, we must be careful not to fall into any of these things. It's hard because we are human and we make mistakes. It's shameful, hurtful, and can downright just make us feel miserable. BUT we can alway come back to God with confidence, because he not only forgives, but FORGETS.

To guard our heart, means to guard ourselves from the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21). Just a little bit of anger, a little bit of jealously, or a little bit of hate can corrupt our entire being. We must be careful to not let anything, not even a sliver, come into our being.

How can this be accomplished? We can accomplish this by practicing the fruits of the Spirit everyday. Love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. All these fruits will keep our spiritual hearts healthy and happy with the joy of our God. :)

"Hello Love" Valentine's Day Look

Happy Valentine's Day!
Last year I went with neutral colors, but this year I decided to go traditional red. I was feeling sort of "cutesy", so I went with Hello Kitty. ^__^ To tie it all together, I used leopard print accents. (shoes + hair flower) That hair flower? I got it from a pet store LOL! I went in to purchase clothing for my yorkie, but I ended up finding little dog accessories for $1! I love hair accessories, so this was perfect. After all, who's going to know? ;)

Just two more days until Valentine's Day! Since it's super sunny and nice out today, I decided to wear some florals and pinks. Pink is a Valentine's Day color after all. :) I've had this shirt for about 2 years now, but I never got around to wearing it. I finally wore it today, and I felt super girly!
