"Autumnal Coral" Tunic Refashion // Made From Two Tops

I didn't know what to call this tunic, so I literally googled "words that rhyme with coral" and nothing. All of a sudden I thought of the word autumn, then right away autumnal! I think it's perfect because it's a great tunic to wear alone on chilly fall days since the white part is a light and cozy sweater.

Here are the before photos of the two garments I used. A plain light sweater and a sheer chiffon button up.

STEPS:

1. I marked where I was going to cut the shirt. (How much I wanted to add to the sweater).

2. I left a little leftover for seam allowance.

3. I sewed the chiffon part onto the sweater.

4. Lastly, I added a matching chiffon pocket with a little lace trim.

Style Diary... That I Haven't Worn Yet :)

I decided it was time to change my photos in the "About Me" page, so I grabbed an outfit and snapped some photos. I ended up really liking this outfit, so I will definitely be wearing it in the nearby future (when it's not 90 degrees outside!). I got this dress from Nordstrom with a birthday gift card. I love it so much because it is super soft and it has POCKETS! Seriously though, what is it with us ladies and pocketed skirts/dresses? :)

So lately, I've been trying new photo shooting and editing techniques, so please bare with me as I keep trying new things. I'm trying to find my "look" per say. I'm not a photographer, nor do I have any previous knowledge, so learning photography has been a bit of a challenge. But I think I've improved since I first started this blog right? Haha, practice makes perfect. :)

The Start of Fall Fashion // Style Diary

I know, you might be wondering, "the start of fall fashion?" "But it's almost the end of September already!" I live in a part of California where it'll be October/November and it'll be hot outside haha. Sometimes I feel like my city sort of skips the fall season. It'll stay really hot past summer, then all of a sudden it gets winter cold. This makes transitioning into fall a little tricky.

I hadn't been able to upload anything because my MacBook ran out of battery and the charger broke. *sad face.* Anyways, this look was from this past Sunday. I wore a red-orange flowy top and paired it with my brown purse and suede sandals. This was the most fall-ish outfit I could pull off while it was 100 degrees outside. More fall outfits to come. :)
