An Easy Way to Plan & Organize Outfits On Your Phone

Do you ever wake up and start getting ready for your day, but you don't know what to wear?
Or do you try to picture outfits together in your head, but the vision doesn't come to life?
Or... do you keep on wearing the same outfit over and over again, because of lack of style inspiration?

-

I have felt like all of the above. I think we all have at one point. For me, it was whenever I was invited to go out last minute. On such a short notice, I never knew what to wear. I kept trying to picture outfits together in my head or quickly trying everything on and failing, until I discovered a new app called Finery. It's an app created to help you easily and quickly create outfits from clothing you already have in your closet. The app captures your online purchases when you sign up with the email you use for online shopping. (You can also add more than one email!) You can also easily add items that you purchased offline. I'm obsessed now! Finery is an easy way to get creative with what's in your closet, and really think outside the box. Best of all, it's free!

More often than not, I tend to buy pieces that I really love, but when I receive them, I don't know what to pair with them. This happened to me when I purchased this chambray shirt from Nordstrom Rack. I hadn't purchased a chambray shirt since 2013, so I thought I was due for an update. I fell in love with the embroidered details.

I just didn't know what to wear it with, besides with a pair of denim jeans. I created my very first "look" around this chambray shirt. Everything goes great with denim, but I wanted an outfit with more details and accessories. As I was putting my wardrobe together on the Finery app, I liked how my chambray shirt looked next to my blush tulle skirt. From there on, I started adding more blush accessories. (My sunglasses don't look pink at all in these pictures, perhaps it was too sunny and they caught some weird lighting? LOL) I finished off my look with my Adidas Stan Smiths to make this a casual outfit.

This is what your "closet" looks like, which you can then view different categories.
One of Finery's cool features is that when you sign up with your email you use for online shopping, all your past purchases are captured and put into your "closet", or wardrobe on the app.

(I bought a lot of skirts during Black Friday, can you tell? :D)

After creating a "look", or outfit, in the app, you can schedule it for whichever day(s) you plan on wearing it.
You can also add a tag, such as "beach" or "brunch" to your outfits. I think that's a great idea, especially this time of year when there are so many different events going on.
(I go to the lake a lot, so I'm definitely creating a "lake" tag)

Other cool features:

- Finery tells you when your returns are expiring.
- You can save items to your wishlist and Finery alerts you when they go on sale.
- SO much style inspiration from style icons, such as Rachel Zoe, under the "Featured Wardrobes" tab.

Overall, I really liked using Finery and I'm definitely going to keep on updating my virtual closet!

I was compensated to post my review on Instagram, but all opinions are 100% my own. I only recommend products that I use myself and I created this blog post to further explain my review.
