So I'm back to hand lettering, and I'm nowhere as near as good, but I decided to keep on practicing. Practice makes perfect! I still remember the first time I sat down in front of a sewing machine. I didn't know what I was doing and I failed miserably. Now, I can pretty much sew whatever I want to. (But don't expect a couture gown from me anytime soon haha!)
"The Lord will rule as King forever and ever."
-Exodus 15:18
The bible declares God as king over all, various times throughout. His reign is and will be forever and evermore. What we do doesn't change who He is. Who we are doesn't change who He is. Nothing changes who God is and the fact that He reigns over all. The Israelites constantly complained to God about their situation. Even in this same chapter, they complained. At the beginning of Exodus, chapter 15, they were singing to the Lord a song of praise. Just a couple verses down (verse 24), they were complaining because they didn't have water to drink. I know I speak for myself when I say that many times we complain to God. It's easy to praise Him when life is going good and in your favor. But, when life throws you a curveball, it's not so easy.
We make Him so small when we complain to Him. When we complain, it's like telling God, "I don't like your plan, I don't trust you, I want to do it this way instead." This is when we need to blindly 100% place our faith and trust in God. We must remember that no matter how much we complain to God, He is still King. He is still good. He is still God. The God who shaped you with His own hands is the same One who rules forever and ever.
