1 John 3:18

1 JOHN 3:18 

"Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."

In this verse we are told to love with actions and in truth.

ACTIONS: In Matthew 5:16 we are told to let our light shine before others, so they may see our good works, & give glory to God. 

TRUTH: In John 14:6, we see that God is the way, the TRUTH, and the life. 1 John 4:12 says, "No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us."

If we love with actions & in truth, we are loving the way God loves us. If God (The Truth) lives in us, our actions will naturally follow that fact. We will want to serve & help others. We will not gossip, give empty promises, hold grudges, etc. Even if we do end up falling, the Holy Spirit in us will give us a little conviction kick. We will just love, radiate GOD's light, and most importantly give glory to The Most High!
